Boot care instructions

Boot general care

To ensure optimal performance and durability, please follow the instructions below carefully when using this product.
These guidelines are essential for proper handling, maintenance, and storage.

⚠️ Please note: Failure to comply with the following instructions may result in damage to the product and may void the warranty. The warranty is valid only when the product is used in strict accordance with these instructions.

Leather

  • Allow boots to dry after wearing and store them in a cool, dry, and ventilated place—always away from direct heat or sunlight to prevent cracking and stiffness.
  • On a clean boot—after gently removing sand, dust, mud, and sweat—apply the boot cream carefully, covering EXCLUSIVELY leather surface with a soft brush. Let it sit for a few minutes, then polish with a wool cloth.
  • EGO7 boot cream leather conditioner provides surface protection from external elements, preserving the material’s moisture and appearance, elasticity and resistance to wear.
  • Use colored cream matching the boot’s tone. For boots of other colors, use only clear boot cream to avoid color shifting

Insert the inflatable boot trees (if not provided you may use paper scraps instead) to maintain the original shape

E-Tex

  • E-Tex requires ZERO CARE—do not apply polish, cream, sprays, grease, glue, or gripping materials.
  • Chemicals can irreversibly damage E-Tex.
  • Clean only with a damp cloth to remove dirt.

Zip Maintenance

Limited Zip Warranty

  • EGO7 boots are equipped with certified YKK zippers for superior resistance.
  • Any zipper defect due to material flaws will typically show within the first few uses.
  • After that, zipper issues will be considered normal wear and tear and are not covered under warranty.
  • Please watch our tutorial video on how to wear EGO7 boots for the first time to avoid zip damage

Zip Cleaning & Care

  • Keep zippers clean from grease, dust, and horse sweat to ensure smooth operation and prevent breakage.
  • Always check that pants, socks, or other fabrics do not get caught in the zipper.
  • Always keep the zipper slider straight and aligned with the zipper teeth when opening or closing. Twisting or pulling at an angle can damage or break the zipper.
  • The lifespan of a zipper depends greatly on usage—similar to how tire wear depends on road conditions and driving habits.

Tips for Prolonging Zipper Life

  • Keep the zipper and teeth clean; check regularly that nothing obstructs the zip path while opening or closing.
  • Assist zip closure with your fingers when wearing the boots the first few times—avoid pulling forcefully.
  • Always fully open the zipper (down to the heel) when putting on or taking off the boots.
  • Use the practical inside flap to ease wearing and always check that it is properly positioned.

Cleaning

Clean your riding boots with a damp cloth. Horse sweat, mud etc. are very aggressive for leather and should be removed at all times. The leather should be moisturized using EGO7 boot cream to maintain elasticity and wear resistance. Leather boots need to dry after being worn and stored in a cool, dry and ventilated place always away from direct heat or sunlight to avoid cracks and stiffness.

EGO7 boot cream leather conditioner also provides surface protection from external aggressive agents, maintains an ideal moist and beauty of the material. Apply the EGO7 boot cream carefully, make sure to cover the entire leather surface using a brush, wait a few minutes and polish with a wool cloth. Insert boot trees to ensure that the boots maintain their original shape.

Use the practical inflatable boot trees supplied to keep them in perfect shape.

E-TEX inner calf panel

It’s important to note that E-Tex requires absolutely no maintenance. Avoid any contact and or using any polish, cream, or grease on it, as these substances can cause irreversible damage. To clean it, simply wipe with a damp cloth to remove dirt.

Zip Maintenance

Help the zip closure with your fingers when you wear them for the first few times without
forcing or pulling too much to avoid excessive strain.

Always make sure the riding boots zipper is fully open when you put on/off your boots, you can use the practical inside flap to wear them.

The zipper cleaning is an important point, if there is dirt like grease or sweat this could prevent the normal zip closing/opening and it might eventually split or suddenly brake.

Also make sure your clothes or anything else do not get stuck in the zipper mechanism.
